NOZZLES FEATURES

SMALL SIZE:

The Fogex F20, F27 and F11 & automatic glass bulb type FA20, FA27 and FA11 water fog nozzles are the smallest multi-orifice water mist nozzles available on the international marketplace. This means less system weight, better aesthetics and lower production costs. With water flow rates from just 5.3 litres per minute and up to 10.0 litres per minute, the Fogex system excels on efficiency and reduced water related damage through excessive wetting. With small water flows this translates to smaller system components, smaller pumps, smaller diameter pipe work and less overall system weight and clutter. The cost to the customer is also minimised.

ADDED SAFETY:

The Fogex water mist nozzles have been pressure tested in excess of 320 bars without failure meaning increased safety. Fogex open type deluge nozzles are a one piece design and are supplied complete with an internal 316 Stainless steel sieve to prevent nozzle blockage.

The Fogex system operating pressure is 100-110 bars thus it is safe to use in occupied spaces. Fogex assists to scrub the atmosphere within a fire hazard area causing the smoke soot and combustion by-products to settle on the ground. This assists in breathing and reduces smoke related damage to property.

Fine water fog droplets also reduce ambient room and ceiling gas temperatures thus reducing the incidence of flash-over phenomena.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE:

Size for size the Fogex nozzles demonstrated a formidable fire extinguishing capability against volatile hydrocarbon fuel fires, such as, concealed n-Heptane pan fires and cascading and pressure spraying n-Heptane and Diesel fires.

Local Application testing witnessed all prescribed test fires being extinguished between 4 and 29 seconds. This is for all 1.OMW and 6.OMW Diesel spray fires. Only 8 nozzles were used in the test and each nozzle delivered 10.0 litres of water per minute at 100 bar pressure. Walls were not constructed around the test fires and oxygen was unrestricted during fire testing. Fogex extinguished the test fires with remarkable speed using very minimal amounts of water. The minimum nozzle distance to the fire source was 2.0 metres and the maximum nozzle distance to the fire source was 10.1 metres. Nozzle grid matrix spacing was 4m x 4m. The Fogex F11 nozzles were used for Local Application testing. Fogex nozzles are defined as single fluid Class 1 water mist nozzles as per NFPA 750 Standards.

LOWER WATER CONSUMPTION:

Fogex uses around 10% of the volume of water compared to that of a conventional water sprinkler. This means less demand on our precious water resources and entailing greater system efficiency. Less water usage means less water related damage to your property. The water spray flux density for Fogex is typically 0.08 - 0.10 L/Min/cubic metre of space to be protected. Fogex also uses smaller diameter Stainless steel pipes or tubing. Pipes or tube can be as small as 1/4" diameter. This translates to less system clutter and lower overall weight.

Avoid the use of heavy large diameter piping & fittings on your project.
